Lady GaGa, Justin Bieber, Madonna, Shakira y David Beckham son sólo algunos de los famosos que han querido aprovechar su fama para conseguir más colaboración con la extrema situación que se vive en el Cuerno de África

Las redes sociales Facebook y Twitter están siendo las plataformas en las que éstos y muchos otros personajes públicos hacen su particular campaña para reunir mayores beneficios económicos que permitan llevar comida a África.

Para ello, han colocado un vídeo sobre la hambruna que se atraviesa allí y piden a sus seguidores que colaboren y lo difundan por la Red.

Rihanna, Beyoncé, Cristiano Ronaldo, Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Iglesias, Queen, U2, Coldplay, Kanye West, Elton John, Nelly Furtado, Muse y Britney Spears también participan en esta iniciativa, que ha surgido de la ONG Save The Children, que tiene como objetivo que el mensaje llegue a 600 millones de personas. "No sólo ayudará a concienciar de la magnitud de la tragedia, sino que contribuirá a recaudar fondos para los que sufren", declara la ONG.

El vídeo se puede descargar por 1,29 dólares, dinero que será íntegramente destinado a la causa.

La intérprete de "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" también ha añadido que le gustaría hacer algunos dúos, y que a quien llamaría primero sería a su propia hermana Dannii.

Vince Neil trial delayed on Vegas battery charge

 

Motley Crue singer Vince Neil is getting an emergency postponement in his Las Vegas trial on misdemeanor charges stemming from a confrontation with an ex-girlfriend at a casino comedy club.

 

A Las Vegas judge granted the request Monday during a brief hearing. The trial was rescheduled for Nov. 7.

 

A lawyer for the 50 years old rocker did not explain why he was requesting the continuance. Neil did not appear in court for the hearing.

 

Neil has pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct charges.

 

He's accused of poking the chest of Las Vegas entertainment reporter Alicia Jacobs in a casino comedy club March 24, and cursing and pointing at Jacobs and two friends sitting with her.

Gregg Allman cancels dates for medical reasons

Rock legend Gregg Allman has canceled tour dates from Aug. 26 to Sept. 15 because of a persistent illness.

 

A statement from Allman's publicist on Monday says the 63 years old has an "upper respiratory condition" that will require several days of hospitalization and four to six weeks of bed rest.

 

Allman underwent a successful liver transplant last year and returned to the road just a few months later.

 

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee canceled the final four dates of his recent European tour because of the same illness. Doctors had hoped the rest would resolve the ailment, but Allman remained sick.

Allman plans to reschedule the canceled dates and hopes to return to the road in late fall.

Rapper Big Boi arrested on drug charges in Miami

 

The Grammy-winning OutKast rapper Big Boi has been arrested in Miami on charges of illegally possessing drugs including ecstasy and Viagra pills.

 

The rapper, whose real name is Antwan Patton, was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia on Sunday. According to the Miami-Dade County Corrections website, the 36 years old Patton was also carrying MDMA, which is the main ingredient in Ecstasy.

 

The rapper was booked around 1:30 p.m. on $16,000 bond. Phone and email messages were left for Big Boi's publicists.

 

Big Boi is best known as half of the groundbreaking rap duo OutKast, which includes Andre 3000. The Atlanta-based group won six Grammys and churned out six platinum-plus albums, including "Speakerboxxx/The Love Below," which sold over 10 million copies.

Nicki Minaj's Torturous Work

Nicki Minaj compares working a series of dead end jobs to "torture".

The "Super Bass" rapper had to work part time jobs after graduating from New York's prestigious La Guardia High School, and although she hated the experience, she claims she now has the last laugh.

She said: "That whole time was so horrible. It was like torture. At the end of the day, after working at whatever job I hated, I would get all dressed up and go out with the hope of getting a record deal". "At night, I was an artist, but during the day I was a slave. When I think back on that time, on the people who made my life a living hell, I want to say, 'Are you all seeing me now?' ".

"This is me having the last laugh after all those years when you made it hard for me to get out of bed in the morning". Although Nicki thought about quitting at one point, her pride and dedication to making money to support her family were what eventually helped her achieve success.

She added: "I had no money, I had no one to call and I was out on my own".  "I also had the burden of not wanting to tell my mother that I was out of a job, and could I come back home?". "Besides faith in God, the only thing that got me through that time was the fear of what would happen to my family if I didn't make it".

"I remember thinking, 'I don't know if this is ever going work but I'm going to give it one final try' ".

Amy Winehouse's goddaughter performs at UK fest

 

Amy Winehouse's 15 years old goddaughter performed an outstanding set at the Big Chill music festival, mirroring her late mentor by closing her show with a cover of Winehouse's "Love Is a Losing Game."

 

Dionne Bromfield got teary-eyed when she performed the song, barely able to sing its last few words, though the crowd cheered her on.  "She was an amazing singer", Bromfield said. "She was not only my godmother, but she was my mentor and my boss as well".

 

The big-voiced singer sang with ease during her 30 minutes performance on Saturday, the second day of the U.K. music festival.

 

Bromfield was a reminder of Winehouse: She stood close to the mic while belting lyrics, with her big hair and tiny build.  She was backed by a 5 pieces band and dancers, performing songs from her two albums and singing mainly about boys and relationship troubles.

 

Her scratchy voice was top-notch as she sang soul songs with pop flavors, especially on the old school sounding "Remember Our Love" and the up-tempo "Yeah Right". She also performed covers of Cee Lo Green's smash "Forget You" "and the Shirelles' "Mama Said", Bromfield's first single.

 

Winehouse, who had struggled with drug and alcohol addiction, was found dead of unknown causes at her London home on July 23.  Bromfield is signed to Winehouse's label, Lioness Records.

Selena Gomez loves London

Selena Gomez says London is her second home.

The 19 years old singer and actress, who is dating Canadian singer Justin Bieber, loves spending time in the UK capital and is a particular fan of clothes shopping in England.

She said: "London is like my second home I'm here so much". "I haven't had time to go shopping yet, but I love Topshop and All Saints".

Selena had to master a British accent for her role in forthcoming movie "Monte Carlo" but she thinks she has lost the inflections she mastered now as she made the film such a long time ago.

She said: "I can't do it. We filed it over a year ago, so I do it horribly now. At the time I had two weeks of training, it was intense". "I said, 'Mummy' a lot, and words like 'errands' ".

While Selena enjoys being in London, she misses being away from her five dogs, though she admits they can cause her problems.

Rapper Big Sean charged after NY park concert

 

Rapper Big Sean faces charges in upstate New York after a woman complained she was sexually assaulted during a concert.

 

State park police charged the 23 years old Detroit rapper with misdemeanor counts of forcible touching, unlawful imprisonment and sex abuse. Another Detroit man, Willie Hansbro, faces the same charges.

 

Police received the complaint Thursday at Artpark State Park in Lewiston, downriver from Niagara Falls. Anderson was performing there with rapper Wiz Khalifa. Authorities won't elaborate on the complaint.

 

Big Sean and Hansbro were given Sept. 6 court dates for Niagara County Court and released on $500 bail.

 

Big Sean's real name is Sean Anderson. Scott Leemon, a lawyer for both men, said they "vehemently deny" the charges. He said he's confident they will be cleared after further investigation.

Lady Gaga accused of copying "Judas"

Lady Gaga on Friday was slapped with a lawsuit claiming her hit song "Judas" on the new album "Born This Way" was copied from a similar tune by a Chicago based singer and songwriter.

Rebecca Francescatti, who filed the suit in U.S. District Court in Illinois on Wednesday, alleges "Judas" infringes upon the copyright of her song "Juda," which she recorded in 1999. The Chicago musician claims that "substantial original portions" of "Judas" were lifted from the song that she re-recorded in 2005 for her album, "It's All About You."

 

Francescatti's "Juda" was engineered by Brian Joseph Gaynor, a member of DJ White Shadow, which worked with Lady Gaga on her new album "Born This Way."

 

DJ White Shadow claims to have written 17 of 20 songs on "Born This Way," the suit says.

 

The suit seeks profits from the sale of the record or damages of an unspecified amount.

 

Gaynor, DJ White Shadow, Interscope Records and its parent company Universal Music Group are also named in the suit.

A spokeswoman for Lady Gaga was not immediately available for comment, and a spokesman for Interscope declined to comment.

Alice Cooper y Ke$ha, juntos en "Welcome 2 My Nightmare"

El nuevo trabajo del cantante de rock contiene una canción en la que colabora la californiana.

Ke$ha es uno de los elementos sorpresa que componen el nuevo álbum del prodigioso metalero, protagonizando un dueto con el que ella llama "papá" desde que la sorprendió en un concierto en Oslo. Este lazo paternofilial los ha unido para crear "What Baby Wants", canción escrita en gran parte por la cantante, y su colaboración, según explica Alice Cooper, es una forma de agradecérselo.

El artista ya rompió con las normas de lo que está bien y mal en los 70 y 80, así que ahora no le gusta que le cuestionen esta decisión e identifica a Ke$ha diciendo: "Me gustaría que la gente supiese que el hecho de que los artistas se encasillen no significa que no puedan saber quiénes son. Dejenle un poco de espacio a la gente".

"Welcome 2 My Nightmare" es una continuación de su anterior álbum "Welcome To My Nightmare", homónimos aunque se escriban de distinta forma y de traducción "Bienvenidos a mi pesadilla". Además, han sido fuente de inspiración de un nuevo espacio en los Universal Estudios. En una atracción con forma laberíntica, se podrá escuchar la música de Alice Cooper además de ver "decapitaciones con guillotina y sillas eléctricas" entre otros elementos macabras afines al siniestro roquero.

El nuevo disco se lanzará en formato de edición especial durante el mes de septiembre y constará de un cartel gigante, pinturas para la cara, una placa de metal, una máscara y una revista de 132 páginas sobre Alice Cooper.

The reality TV star slammed the "Burlesque" actress' fuller figure as she commented on a photograph of her wearing a tight black dress during a segment on E! "Fashion Police".

She said: "Maybe she's just becoming the fat bitch she was always born to be. I don't know. She was a **** to me". "She called me fat for so many fucking years, so you know what? Fuck you, you're fat too."

Kelly wasn't the only member of the panel to insult Christina, 30, with Joan Rivers comparing her to "Jersey Shore" star Snooki, saying: "She looks like Snooki's Scandinavian cousin. It's a pretty dress but she's stuffed into it."

This is not the first time Kelly has lashed out at Christina, previously calling her a "pussy". She said: "She's a pussy. She has a mouth on her, but she's all talk. She only does it because she always has a security guard around to punch anyone she gets in a fight with.

Madonna y Christina Aguilera trabajan con William Orbit

Ambas cantantes están en el estudio con el productor trabajando de lleno en sus próximos discos.

Madonna no es la primera vez que trabaja con él. En 1998 la Reina del Pop publicó "Ray Of Light", que fue todo un éxito gracias al sonido de Orbit, y en 2000 repitió en "Music".

Slash's flight grounded by toilet trouble

Slash's flight was diverted to Utah when one of the toilets on board became blocked up.

The former Guns N' Roses rocker was on his home from a concert in Serbia, and on the last leg of the journey from Minnesota to Los Angeles last night (01.08.11) when the Delta aircraft had to make the unscheduled landing after problems arose with the bathroom facilities on board.

One passenger told gossip website TMZ: "It stunk. There was a flight attendant standing by the door asking people not to go number two". The flight crew also stopped serving drinks after the announcement about the toilet, to prevent people from needing to use the facilities.

After finally landing in Los Angeles, Slash wrote on twitter: "Left Serbia 8am, just arrived in LA, 10:30pm. Delays, broken toilets, u name it. Gotta love Delta". Passengers, including Slash each received a $100 voucher from the airline to compensate them for their troubles.

The concert in Serbia was the final date on Slash's European tour and up until the incident on the airplane, things had been going great.

He tweeted earlier in the week: "Its going to be a memorable show tonight in Belgrade. Strap yourselves in! Iii|; )' This arena sounds fn' amazing! Iii|; )' (sic)"

After the gig, he added: "Belgrade, Serbia kicks ass! Great city to end the tour. Amazing crowd! Iii|; )' (sic)".

Katy Perry, "Teenage Dream" make Billboard history

Pop princess Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" reached a new height this week as "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" became the album's fifth single to reach the top of Billboard's pop songs chart, marking the first time any album has amassed such a feat in its 19 years history.

 

If Perry's newest No. 1 also lands atop the Hot 100 later this week, "Teenage Dream" will be the only album other than Michael Jackson's "Bad" to generate five separate No. 1s. "Bad" was released in 1987, before Billboard began issuing the pop song chart.

 

Prior to "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" reaching No. 1, "Teenage Dream" was tied with Justin Timberlake's "FutureSex/LoveSounds" (2006-07) and Lady Gaga's "The Fame" (2009) which both had four singles snag the top spot.

La Cantante y Actriz ha provocado un debate entre sus fans después de hacerse un Tatuaje que apoya los derechos de los Homosexuales.

El pasado viernes 29 de Julio la cantante mostró a través de su cuenta en Twitter el Tatuaje que acababa de hacerse en un dedo de la mano. Acompañando la foro escribió: "Todo el Amor es Igual".

Luego de haber publicado la foto, la cantante fue interrogada por un fan que le dijo: "¿En la Biblia Dios decía que la Homosexualidad estaba bien?", y Miley le respondió: "¿Dice la Biblia que podemos juzgar a otros?. No lo hace. Dios es el único juez cariño. Dios es Amor".

La cantante se une así a una serie de músicos que han elogiado la reciente decisión de legalizar el Matrimonio Gay en Nueva York.

Además, Miley es muy amiga de los tatuajes. Su primer tattoo fue la frase "Just Breathe" en su caja torácica en diciembre de 2009, cuando todavía tenía 17 años. A principios de 2010 se tatuó la palabra "Love" en el interior de la oreja. Ese mismo año se hizo la silueta de un corazón en el dedo Meñique de la mano derecha, y poco después añadió una simple cruz en el interior del dedo anular. En Febrero de 2011 estrenó su tatuaje más grande hasta la fecha, un Atrapasueños. Y a su paso por Brasil en mayo de 2011 se tatuó un ancla en la Muñeca.

Rihanna might be the one in control of her successful life as singer and budding actress, but when she's in the bedroom, just like the lyric from "What's My Name?", she likes for her man to "take it over". "I play a very dominant role in my life, in every aspect of it. And I like to feel like a lady still, at some point", the 23 years old singer told Glamour Magazine's in its September issue.

"I feel like that's the time when a guy really gets to be a man, and I get to be a woman", she explained. "And if I'm being a man in the bedroom too, there's nothing really in it for me". The singer, who recently wrapped the North American leg of her "Loud" tour, said she's OK with being a role model to a point.

"I want to set the right example and, at the same time, live my life", she told the mag. "I feel like pop stars can't be rock stars anymore because they have to be role models, and it takes the fun out of it for us, because we just want to have fun with art".

On Monday, the singer surfaced in her hometown in Barbados, where she definitely appeared to be having fun in a skimpy bikini and lavish headdress. She celebrated at the Kadooment Day parade, part of the Crop Over Festival, which marks the end of the local sugar cane harvest.

Alleged Miley Cyrus hacker pleads in separate case

 

A 21 years old who bragged about hacking into Miley Cyrus' email account and distributing revealing pictures of her pleaded guilty in federal court to unrelated charges of credit card fraud and hacking.

 

Josh Holly was in U.S. District Court in Nashville on Monday. He pleaded to having about 200 credit card numbers and to commercial electronic mail message fraud in a scheme to spam visitors to celebrities' MySpace pages.

 

Holly was not charged for hacking the singer's account. But federal agents found evidence of other crimes when they interviewed Holly and searched his computer in 2008.

 

The Tennessean newspaper reported that Holly also violated a condition that he stay off the Internet when he posted on Facebook that he was feeling "strong urges" to start hacking again.
